Rose Harrison & Gilreath, P.C., has announced the promotion of David B. Powers to shareholder in the firm.

Powers began his association with the firm in 2012, when he served as an intern while attending law school and working at Kill Devil Grill.

Upon graduation from Regent University School of Law in 2013, he passed the North Carolina bar exam and began working full time as an associate attorney. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Powers’ practice focuses on assisting small businesses in handling corporate, contract, employment, and collections matters.

“His ten years of experience in the restaurant business make David uniquely qualified to assist clients in the hospitality industry,” said Peebles Harrison, president of the firm.

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Powers has resided on the Outer Banks for over 15 years. He enjoys cooking, traveling, coaching youth sports, and spending the perfect beach day with his family and friends.

The firm will now transact business as Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers, P.C., 700 Blue Jay Street, in Kill Devil Hills.
