All Saints Episcopal Church new Rector, The Rev. Cynthia “Cindy” Simpson to begin in October

By on September 27, 2019

At a recent, combined Sunday Worship Service, All Saints Episcopal Church announced their new Rector, The Rev. Cynthia “Cindy” Simpson. Cindy will be leading All Saints’ Episcopal Church in its already established involvement in the Outer Banks Community on October 13th, 2019. She comes to All Saints’ after ten years of service at Christ Episcopal Church in Rockville, Maryland, where she was Associate Rector. Cindy’s work at Christ Church complemented her part-time chaplaincy at Christ Episcopal School. She participated in Sunday worship life, Adult Christian Formation, Welcoming, Fellowship, Pastoral Care and Communications ministries. She also provided pastoral care for parishioners.

Cindy was drawn to the Episcopal Church because of our rich liturgical worship tradition. She entered the discernment process leading to ordination in the Episcopal Church and attended Virginia Seminary from 2004 to 2005, where she received a Postgraduate Anglican Studies diploma. She was ordained a deacon in June 2007 and ordained to the priesthood at Washington Cathedral in January 2008. We hope the community will join us in welcoming Cindy this October
