Auditions for ‘A World War II Radio Christmas’

By on October 10, 2019

Theatre of Dare

This moving holiday show recreates the experience of attending a recording of a 1944 radio show broadcast on Christmas Eve during World War II. Using period songs and stories inspired by actual veterans, World War II Radio Christmas transports the audience to another time, brought to you by such generous sponsors as Vaseline Hair Tonic and Ipana Toothpaste. An inspiring look at strength in the face of hardship, this play is a reminder of the importance of coming together for the holidays.

We’re looking for anywhere between 6-16 actors and singers of all types to fill out this heartwarming holiday production. Come on out to the Dare County Arts Council building in downtown Manteo on October 22 at 6:30-9 p.m. (we’ll be upstairs) and show us what you’ve got! Show dates are : December 12-15, Roanoke Island Festival Park Indoor Film Theater.
