With an effort spearheaded by the Dare County Arts Council, the early days of November offer a host of events — from concerts and writing workshops to road races and traditional Veterans Day ceremonies — designed to thank and honor those who have served in our military. Here’s a calendar of events and amenities to guide you, beginning with a message from the Arts Council.
Dear Local and Visiting Veterans, Active-duty Military and Families,
On behalf of the citizens of Dare County, we would like to thank each of you for your service. Thank you for the sacrifices you made and continue to make to protect our freedom. We honor your courage, not only this Veterans Day, but every day. Below you will find a list of events, activities and discounts taking place throughout the Outer Banks the first part of November. We hope you and your family members will join us at one of the wonderful concerts, workshops, and ceremonies taking place in Dare County on Veterans Week. Please note that some events and activities require registration prior to attending. We Salute You!
