Food Bank of the Albemarle in partnership with Elizabeth City State University, with the Food Bank’s annual “Sort-A-Rama” food packaging event. This half-day volunteer service event is jam-packed with energy, networking and team-building.

All food packed will be distributed to families experiencing hunger right here in northeast North Carolina, where over 52,900 people face food insecurity.

Sort-A-Rama offers congregations, businesses, civic organizations and students a fun, meaningful opportunity to combine volunteerism and team building to strengthening community relationships by bagging food for distribution to hungry families living in northeastern North Carolina.

Start planning early- and the more money raised, and more volunteers, the more can be provided for people in need. The Food Bank will send out flyers and information to the public in advance of the next event currently scheduled for Sunday, April 5th.
