Annual Running of the Leprechauns 5K & 10K will have to be cancelled

By on March 11, 2020

COVID-19 Update:

As much as we had hoped that our grassroots level, down-home race could hang on, we regret to inform you that the Annual Running of the Leprechauns 5K & 10K will have to be cancelled. According to the CDC recommendations, events over 250 people should be postponed or cancelled. The Governor of North Carolina has just announced to not hold events and sporting events over 100 people in North Carolina. This is also the message from Dare County Health & Human Services and Dare County Emergency Management. We also all want what is best for the well-being of our runners, volunteers and race support.

We certainly understand the disappointment as runners and look forward to safer race times!

In preventative health,

TEAM OBSE
