By on March 30, 2020

Updated 11:00 a.m., March 30, 2020. (https://www.ncdhhs.gov/covid-19-case-count-nc) *County case numbers may change once residence is verified. Therefore, the total number on the county map may differ from the number of NC Cases.

  • Reported NC cases – 1,307 (up 267 from yesterday)
  • Reported NC deaths – 6
  • NC county with most cases – Mecklenburg (382)
  • Reported cases in Dare, Currituck and Hyde Counties – 1
  • Completed tests – 20,864
  • % of cases by age group – 0-17 (1%), 18-24 (11%), 25-49 (44%), 50-64 (25%), 65+ (19%)
  • % of cases by gender – female (51%), male (48%)

***On March 25, Dare County reported its first case, but it does not show up on state records because a Dare County address was not used when the individual was tested.

NoteEvery morning, the NC Department of Health and Human Services posts updates on the number of reported cases of coronavirus. That number reflects positive results from all tests, including the NC State Laboratory of Public Health and all hospital and commercial labs. There may be other reports, from the media and elsewhere, that will include different numbers during a given day, but this is an effective way of tracking numbers from the same source on a day-to-day basis.
