What’s new today: Another big jump in new cases.

  • Reported NC cases – 28,589 (up 916 from yesterday)
  • Reported NC deaths – 886
  • Currently hospitalized – 649
  • Patients Presumed to be recovered – 14,954
  • NC county with most cases– Mecklenburg (4,028)
  • Reported cases in Dare, Currituck and Hyde Counties – 36 (Dare 22, Currituck 13, Hyde 1)
  • Completed tests – 416,289
  • % of cases by age group – 0-17 (6%), 18-24 (10%), 25-49 (44%), 50-64 (22%), 65+ (17%)
  • % of cases by gender – female (51%), male (49%)
  • Number of cases in NC congregate living facilities (nursing homes, residential care facilities, correctional facilities) – 5,378
  • Number of empty hospital beds in NC – 4,156 out of 18,268 total
  • Number of empty ICU hospital beds in NC – 457 out of 3,223 total
  • Number or ventilators currently in use in NC hospitals – 795 out of 3,366 total

Note: Every morning, the NC Department of Health and Human Services posts updates the number of reported cases of coronavirus. That number reflects positive results from all tests, including the NC State Laboratory of Public Health and all hospital and commercial labs. There may be other reports, from the media and elsewhere, that will include different numbers during a given day, but this is an effective way of tracking numbers from the same source on a day-to-day basis.

Barnhill Contracting Company will receive, open, and read publicly all bids received in person in the Training & GPS Technology Room at the main office and listed with the virtual viewing at the link to be posted on Barnhill’s Plan Room.

Bids will not be accepted from bidders that are not pre-qualified. No facsimile or email submissions are permitted. Sealed bids are to be hand delivered to the bid opening location noted above or mailed Sealed Bids can be delivered before 9:00am the day of the bid to the Barnhill Contracting Company Office at 800 Tiffany Blvd., Suite 200 Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
