First Flight High School’s Katherine Schuster has taken home yet another trophy. She fired a second (and final) round 70 to capture the 54th Twin States Junior Girls’ Championship held at the Dataw Island Club in Beaufort SC on June 22 and 23. Schuster finished one stroke ahead of Chloe Holder of Anderson, SC.

For Schuster, it’s another addition to an incredible resume. Last October, she won her third straight Women’s 1A/2A State High School Championship Golf Championship. While her victories are getting too numerous to count, another that stands out is her win in the prestigious 2018 National Drive, Chip and Putt Competition at the storied Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia.

The Kill Devil Hills resident is currently the No. 2 ranked golfer in the Carolinas Junior Girls’ ranking and plans to join the Clemson women’s golf team in the fall of 2021.
