Downtown Books will feature three authors for two socially distanced book signings this Friday!
From 10am to 11:30am Suzanne Tate will be in the house signing books and meeting the many young fans of her best-selling Children’s Nature Series. Suzanne’s latest book, Tommy Tuna: Tale of a Big Fish was the 40th book in the series and was awarded first place in the National Federation of Press Women 2020 Communication Contest. It features many facts about the life and conservation of bluefin tuna as well as some local history of bluefin fishing.
Joseph Terrell will be here from noon to 2pm with his latest Harrison Weaver mystery, just published this week, Calling Card of Death. This is the eighth book in Joseph’s popular series which features lots of Outer Banks settings and backdrops but takes the reader across the pond to Paris as well. A psychopath is stalking Harrison and his girlfriend, Ellie.. will he bring Harrison’s crime-solving escapades to an end?
Joining Joseph will be local writer Greg Smrdel. Greg has penned a number of books- including novels and fun romps set on the Outer Banks like Home, Sweet Outer Banks, Home and Pierly as well as trivia books featuring the Andy Griffith Show and the Outer Banks own morning man Ray Turner. Greg is also the founder of Radio Free Outer Banks, a fantastic new internet radio station.
Downtown Books loves our Outer Banks authors and visitors and want to ensure everyone’s safety- all attendees must wear masks, sanitize their hands and maintain proper social distancing.
