Timothy Darryl Luper,72, passed away from cancer at his home in Waves, NC on June 27, 2020. He was born in La Grange, GA and raised in Anderson, SC. He spent four years in the Navy, traveling all over the world, and moved to Atlanta, GA in the 1980s. Darryl worked for IBM and GE, where he met his wife Anita, and they went on to build multiple successful businesses of their own, including their current company, Luper’s Lawn Service & Landscape Design, on Hatteras Island. He was a widely skilled tradesman, a talented cook and artist, even a drummer in his younger days — and he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anita; their daughter, Lacey Dietz, her husband Peter, and their two children, Opal and Jake, of Atlanta, GA; his sons, Brad Luper and Brian Luper of Anderson, SC; and his brother, Ken Luper of Anderson, SC. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Luper and Mike Luper of Anderson, SC.
No services will be held at this time. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hire Heroes USA.
