Dare County has reported 3 new cases of COVID-19 on July 5, bringing the total number of reported cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 136. Of the new cases, all three involve males under the age of 25. Two are residents and 1 is a non-resident, and all three are isolating in Dare County.
The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services also reported on July 5 that the status of 5 residents who had tested positive for COVID-19 has been updated from isolating at home to recovered.
Of the 136 cases to date, 69 individuals have been classified as asymptomatically cleared or recovered. Another 66 are classified as active cases and there has been 1 fatality.
