(Dare County)

Current TV today released the first of a series of PSA’s highlighting why it’s important to follow North Carolina’s Executive Order to wear a Face Covering in public places. The county and the state have implemented a requirement to wear face masks in public places where social distancing is not possible. How many people can you recognize under the face coverings?

Exactly how much is this ridiculous ad campaign costing the taxpayers of Dare County? Let’s add the cost of losing litigation brought by property owners (just under $17k for the plaintiffs cost but God knows how much for Dare County to mount an indefensible defense) and we’re quickly seeing that the elected leadership in Dare County is a joke. They’re good at one thing, wasting money without public oversight. How difficult or time consuming would it have been to solicit comments from citizens beforehand? All of them have to go!

I am shocked the headline pic is not wearing a mask???? This appears to be some kind of cut off collar, aka “gator neck”. This image does not protect against covid 19 as well as many other common viruses.

This kind of “feel-good” nonsense doesn’t work. County officials, get up off your butts and ENFORCE the mask mandate. A rule without enforcement is no rule at all.

Gotta love all the so called “patriots” that spout that they’d do anything to defend America and on and on. But, when asked to wear a mask so hundreds of thousands of Americans don’t die; they blow a gasket.

The mask is a false sense of security. Sheep follow the heard to slaughter.

The mask isnt for the mask-WEAR’S security. It’s to help protect others from inadvertent exposure to individuals who may be unknowingly infected or subclinical carriers of the virus. It’s an act of respect for and courtesy to others. And our world could use a bit more respect and courtesy.
