It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of the 14th Annual Watermelon Festival scheduled for August 6, 2020. Due to the effects of COVID-19 on crowd gathering and event planning, and our commitment to delivering the best experience for our guests, volunteers, and community. We believe we will not be able to execute this event to the standard our guests expect. We look forward to hosting the Watermelon Festival again in 2021!
Proceeds from this annual event benefit the Outer Banks Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Coalition, which remains committed to the overall goal of helping facilitate the education and awareness of practical bicycle and pedestrian safety to drivers, pedestrians, cyclists in the Outer Banks. We would like to thank Food Lion for their continued partnership with this event, all our sponsors, employees, volunteers, and patrons for their support and hope to see you back in 2021!
