Dare reports 9 new COVID-19 cases, 2nd fatality

Dare County reported 9 new cases of COVID-19 on July 30 as well as its second coronavirus death since the beginning of the pandemic. The county has now reported a total of 345 cases since March.

The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services did not release any details about the fatality other then to indicate that the individual had previously been hospitalized. At the same time, it did report that two previously hospitalized residents had been released to isolate at home.

All 9 new cases involve residents of Dare County, with three of them under the age of 25, three between 25-49 years of age, and three between the ages of 50-64. All 9 of these individuals are isolating at home in Dare County.
