Dare County has reported 2 new cases of COVID-19 on Aug. 9, bringing the total number of cases reported here since the beginning of the pandemic to 378. The 2 newest cases involve male residents of Dare County who are both between the ages of 50-64. One of them is hospitalized and the other is isolating at home.
For an age breakdown of the 378 cases to date, 137 of them involved individuals under 25 years of age, 86 were in the 25-49 age group, and 107 were 50 years and older — with 41 of those at least 65 years old.
