The month-long exhibit is based on a song Eve wrote, which is a blessing for the Outer Banks and beyond.
Eve says, “Nature still has wondrous gifts and lessons in beauty for us, if we can only notice and receive them. So, I chose playful baby foxes and nesting Osprey, rainbows and moons rising and setting, and moments so still you’d think the whole earth was holding its breath.”
The show will be on display in our vault September 4 through 26, 2020.
Since receiving her first Polaroid Swinger camera more than 50 years ago, to learning black and white film development in high school, to working today in the digital darkroom, Eve Turek has loved photographing wildlife and landscapes. What began as an interest and grew to a passionate hobby, has become both a livelihood and way of life that keeps her grounded and connected to the natural world.
“I hope the images I have chosen for Blessed Be transport you to that place of deep breath – deep peace, rising joy, overflowing love,” says Turek.
