Now, this is one busy Atlantic storm map. The National Weather Service at Newport/Morehead City sent out this message at about 8:00 a.m. on Sept. 15
“Quite the crowded Tropical Atlantic this AM. No direct impacts to ENC (Eastern North Carolina) are expected, though we continue to feel the swell from Paulette (as well as dangerous rip currents) and will likely receive the remnants of Sally later this week.”
The National Weather Service in Raleigh is also predicting major rains from Hurricane Sally in the central part of the state from Thursday into Saturday. About 2-5 inches of rain are expected there, which may result in flooding.
