Third Annual Corolla Community Golf Outing to benefit Corolla Chapel

By on September 17, 2020

Dear Friends:

On October 1. 2020 we will once again be holding the Corolla Community Golf Outing to benefit Corolla Chapel.  Last year’s event was sponsored by 60 local companies and had over 80 golfers.

Corolla Chapel assist over 150 International students that work in Corolla during the Summer Season.  The Chapel supplies bicycles free of charge to help them in their transportation to and from work.    They also provide counseling to the students when requested.

Last Christmas, once again, the Chapel in partnership with “Extensions” participated in supplying, through Currituck County Social Services approximately 300 bags of groceries to needy seniors and families plus gifts and toys to children.  Water’s Edge Village Charter School uses the Chapel’s fellowship hall for classrooms for the upper classes at no cost.

At this time, we are planning for Golf, Picnic and silent auction, however the current pandemic rules may effect our plans as far as some activities are concerned.  Currently there are no restrictions on golf and our intent is to go forward with the tournament.  We will have sponsor signs on the course showing the support of local businesses. We hope you will continue to support thus worthwhile event.
