Earlier this evening, the Currituck County Sheriff’s office posted this report on its Facebook page in regard to a Knotts Island arrested today in connection with a shooting.
Just before 0100 hours on Sept. 19, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of West Blackfoot Rd. on Knott’s Island in reference to a shooting. Deputies found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies later arrested Kyle Keement at his residence at 114 Ford Rd. on Knotts Island.
Keement was charged with AWDWIK (Assault with a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill), Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Discharge of a Firearm Prohibited. He is being held at the Currituck Detention Center on a $300,000 bond.
