Food Drive for OBX Beach Food Pantry

Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teaching organization is sponsoring a food drive to help replenish the OBX Beach Food Pantry. Items most requested are: peanut butter, grape and strawberry jelly, canned chicken or tuna, pork n beans, canned soup, canned beef chili with beans, canned diced tomatoes, mixed canned fruit, Hamburger Helper, pancake syrup, and salad dressings.

They also requested these items specifically for Thanksgiving baskets:

canned corn, peas, canned sweet potatoes,/yams, mini marshmallows, canned cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, gravy, pie filling & boxed crust, canned evaporated milk, cream of mushroom/chicken soup, canned onions,   Optional: $10.00 gift cards towards a turkey.

  •  Date: Wednesday November 11th on Veteran’s Day
  •  Drop off Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
  •  Look for: White Silverado truck located in Pirate’s Quay shopping center parking lot, 3022 S Croatan Hwy, Nags Head.

We would truly appreciate your help with our community outreach efforts. All donations will benefit our friends and neighbors on the Outer Banks.

On 5/27/2010 Edge Spectrum, Inc was granted a license by the FCC to serve the public interest in BUXTON, NC as a public trustee of WHOB-LD until 12/1/2020 when it expires. WHOB-LD Channel 50 filed an FCC renewal application for our 2.5 kW station transmitting from BUXTON, NC and serving the BUXTON area on 8/3/2020.
