Now in its 33rd year, The Angel Gift Fund, a partnership between The Outer Banks Woman’s Club and Dare County Department of Health and Human Resources, aims to assist families and children in having their needs met and wishes fulfilled during this holiday season. Since 2010, Village Realty has matched every dollar that its employees raise each year, donating the sum to this worthy community charity.

Each department decided on their own creative method of raising money for the Angel Gift Fund. The individual fundraising efforts included: raffles for custom OBX t-shirt blankets, gift basket, baked goods, and a fishing charter, conducted by the rental and/or rental and accounting departments while the property services department held a wildly successful raffle for deep cleaning of homeowners’ rental homes and a regular cleaning of employees’ homes. The marketing and property services departments in the past have hosted a very popular Breakfast with Santa, but given the pandemic restrictions, marketing had to scramble and came up with a winner: a $1,000 rental discount raffle offered to previous guests. The accounting and real estate sales departments contributed by holding a very popular soup and grilled cheese takeout bar. The fundraisers were so successful that they more than tripled what was raised in its first year in 2010.

Village Realty’s commitment to exceptional homes and extraordinary customer service has served homeowners and vacationers on the Outer Banks for more than 25 years. Specializing in vacation rentals, real estate sales and association management services, the company is committed to contributing to the betterment of its community through many generous donations.
