College of The Albemarle (COA) Foundation is excited to announce a donation for the recently launched emerging capital campaign that will secure the naming of the student center within the new campus building at COA-Dare.

The major gift, provided by Twiddy & Company Realtors, will name the Student Success Center at COA-Dare the “Twiddy & Company Student Success Center.” The center, located on the first floor of the new building, will be the hub for COA students to access resources for financial aid, academic advising, and tutoring.

“On behalf of the working family of Twiddy & Company, our hope is that this commitment-in partnership with so many others-will help create and sustain a future generation of business leaders who will, in their efforts, enrich the lives of everyone who enjoys our community,” said Clark Twiddy, president, Twiddy & Company Realtors.

“I am thrilled with the way in which the COA Foundation emerging capital campaign has kicked off,” said Amy Alcocer, executive director, COA Foundation. “Through these generous gifts, COA will be able to outfit the spaces with the very best equipment, technology and other items that our students need, and deserve. I am so very thankful for the donors in the communities we serve who have been receptive of the capital campaign and the Foundation’s ongoing fundraising efforts.”

COA Foundation’s emerging capital campaign is to raise a goal of $1.2 million dollars for furniture, fixtures, equipment and future programs, for new building construction at COA-Dare and COA-Currituck.
