“For African Americans and people of all ethnicities the celebration of Dr. King is a significant occasion.  Dr. King’s leadership during the Civil Rights Movement is a major part of that experience.  30 years ago, this program was started in Dare County because there were no events or celebrations honoring Dr. Kings Legacy.”

This year’s program is sponsored by the Dare County Ministerial Association, Gallop Funeral Services Inc., Tess Judge, Jane Webster, Robert Woodard, and the Outer Banks Hotline.  This virtual event is open to the public.
