Kitty Hawk Elementary School students can now use a new communication board with symbols that allow them to interact with peers on the playground.  Built and installed by former KHES student David Meggs in order to fulfill the requirements for Eagle Scout, this project was a collaboration between KHES teachers Rebecca Shealey, Sara White, Eagle Scout candidate David Meggs, and Asst. Principal Dr. Lisa Colvin.  Funding was made possible through a Community Grant sponsored by the Kitty Hawk Walmart and the lumber donated by Good Measure Graphics.

Just to clarify this was my son’s Eagle Scout Project and the lumber and paint was donated by Kellogg Supply and the boars were discounted by 50% by GMG. The project was funded by a grant from Walmart of Kitty Hawk.
