Charlotte Anne Elliott Pipes, age 70, of Creek Rd., Elizabeth City, NC died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her residence. Born in Edenton, NC on May 20, 1950 to the late Joseph Henry Elliott and Mary Magaline Kennedy Twine, she was the wife of Harold Lloyd Pipes. Charlotte worked as a Correctional Officer with Pasquotank Correctional Institute before retiring. She attended New Day Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Amanda White (David) of Hertford, NC; a sister, Darlene Brickhouse (Lyman) of Hertford, NC; a brother, Curtis Delaney, Sr. (Esther) of Hertford, NC; four grandchildren, Amber Grove (Timothy) of Lubbock, TX, Mary LeAnn Whitley, Jarrah White, and David Trafton White, all of Hertford, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Clinton, and Phoenix. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gail Cooper (Irvin) and Linda Carter (Raymond).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2021at New Day Church with the Revs. Dale and Sherry Forbes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the family at 179 Mill Rd., Hertford, NC 27944 (for medical expenses for both Charlotte and her husband who is fighting Covid).
