Dare County reports 7 cases of COVID-19

The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services reported 7 cases of COVID-19 on March 7. That brings the total number of cases reported in the county since the onset of the pandemic to 2,811.

Currently, there are a total of 16 active cases among county residents, with 1 resident hospitalized and 15 isolating at home. Since last March, 14 county residents have succumbed to the virus.

There are no state numbers to report. Beginning Saturday, March 6, 2021, the North Carolina COVID-19 Dashboards will be published Monday through Saturdays.


Update on Currituck vaccinations

The March 5 update provided by Albemarle Regional Health Services reports that 6,769 first doses of COVID vaccine have been administered to date in Currituck County along with 5,372 second doses.

There will also be a first-dose vaccine clinic at Maple Park (Near YMCA) 208 Airport Road in Maple on Wednesday, March 10 from 9-11:30 a.m.
