Roanoke Island Festival Park invites the public to visit its latest traveling exhibit, Look Again: Discovering Historical Photos, beginning March 16 through June 26. This free exhibition discusses how the introduction of photography in the mid-1800s forever changed the way we record and remember our personal lives, as well as our community’s, state’s and nation’s history. The exhibit is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
We are happy to report that the Elizabeth II is in the final stages of haul out at Bayliss Boatworks. Our staff are running through their inspection checklists to ensure she is in shipshape for our 2021 season. We anticipate she will return to her homeport at the park early next week. Guests that purchase a park ticket this week will receive a voucher, so they can come back and tour the ship in-person when she returns. Our COVID safety procedures remain the same as last year, to ensure the safety of visitors and staff. Guests can learn more about these procedures on our website.
