Manteo soccer team advances to third round of playoffs

MHS cruised to a 5-0 win Saturday over Hobbton in a second round soccer playoff match.  Manteo put in another strong defensive performance shutting down Hobbton the entire match.  MHS got two goals each from seniors Carter Alvio and Noah Goetsch and one goal from senior Richard Hernandez.

The team spread four assists from senior Andrew Hayman, junior Justin Ortega, and sophomores Trent Hayman and Oscar Rivera.  In all Manteo totaled 23 shots with 10 on goal.  Manteo takes on Franklin Academy Monday, March 22nd, at 5:00 in a home third round match.

Patrick Sinclair is the minister at Mt. Carmel UMC in Manns Harbor.
