The boys’ soccer seasons at both Manteo and First Flight High School ended with losses in the third round of the state high school soccer tournament on March 22. Manteo lost a 1A shootout heartbreaker to Franklin Academy after the regulation contest ended in a 1-1 tie. For the season, the squad ended with an impressive 10-1-2 record.
In the 2A competition, First Flight dropped a 3-1 contest to Croatan. That Kill Devil Hills team also finished the season with a 10-1-2 mark. Congratulations to both schools for a terrific season.
Patrick Sinclair is the minister at Mt. Carmel UMC in Manns Harbor.
