No injuries in Kitty Hawk residential fire

A fire that started in the garage of a residential structure on the 3900 block of Parker St. in Kitty Hawk was extinguished in a “relatively short period of time” without any injuries this morning.

According to Kitty Hawk Fire Chief Mike Talley, the call related to the fire came in at 4:06 a.m. on April 1 and after beginning in the garage, the fire “did extend to the upper level” of the building. Two units in the building were affected by the blaze, and Talley said that the four occupants of those two units were not injured. And investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
