4/3/21 @ 7:40 AM: Feeling more like February than April this morning, as temperatures have dropped into the 20s across much of the area (breaking several records). We will be warmer today, though still well below normal. Normal April weather returns early next week, with 80s expected by mid week.
April 2: This message from the National Weather Service at Newport/Morehead City is pretty simple. Make sure to protect yourself tonight, and other living things as well. “Record or near-record cold is expected tonight. Remember to bring in your pets and protect sensitive vegetation!”
