Two-alarm house fire in Kitty Hawk

The Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department just posted this information about a structure fire that began early in the morning hours on May 3.

“Just after 3 this morning, crews were dispatched into Kitty Hawk for a reported residential dwelling fire. Engine 13 arrived, reported a well-involved structure and began suppression efforts. E-124 arrived, secured a water supply and assisted with interior operations. E-142 arrived and also assisted with suppression. Chief 13 arrived, assumed Command and upgraded the assignment to a second alarm which brought units from Stations 11, 15 and 16. Crews were on scene for several hours. Thanks to all our members for their dedication and hard work.”
