UPDATE: After much consideration, we have made the decision to cancel the rest of our Mustang Mornings at the Farm (9/1, 9/8, 9/15) in an effort to keep our very small staff as safe as possible. We had a COVID scare last week and the reality is, we cannot afford to risk the health and safety of our team as cases in our area climb. Each person is absolutely critical, and we need to mitigate exposure so that we can focus on the most important thing – caring for the horses both at the farm and in the wild. Our amazing staff has gone above and beyond over the last 18 months, working tirelessly through incredibly difficult conditions, and we simply cannot ask them to continue putting themselves and their families at risk. Our store and museum in Corolla will remain open Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm. We do ask that you please wear a mask when visiting. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Join us Wednesdays this summer for Mustang Mornings at the Farm. Beginning June 2nd, the Betsy Dowdy Equine Center will be open to the public from 10am – 2pm. Visit the farm, located on the mainland in Grandy, and meet the rescued Corolla horses currently in our care. We hope to meet many of our members, and we invite all prospective members to visit too! There is a suggested donation of $10 per vehicle at the gate.

CWHF shirts, hats, and other gifts will be available for purchase. You can also sponsor any of the rescue horses. Sponsorship includes a photo and certificate, as well as quarterly updates on your sponsored horse.

Stay tuned to the event page for information about demonstrations and other special presentations each week. We look forward to hosting local artists, historical reenactments, musicians, and more! H2OBX will also be there with a special discount on water park tickets for farm visitors. It’s the perfect pit stop on your way back to the beach!
