First Flight JV baseball hold off late rally to down USA Homeschool 8-6

First Flight's Azrael Simpson pitched a strong game for the Nighthawks.
Ryan Moose (#5, USA Homeschool) delivers a pitch. Moose would pitch through some trouble giving up 8 runs to the Nighthawks.
First Flight's Gabe Kelly takes one for the team. Kelly would repeat the gesture later in the game earning a second HBP.
Curren Breiholz (#1, First Flight) slides in safely at third.
First Flight's Vincent Albanese squares around as if to bunt.
Bert Waddington (#21, First Flight) keeps his eye on an approaching fastball.

The First Flight JV baseball was able to stave off a late rally by the visiting USA Homeschool Warriors win their game 8-6 in a time-shortened 5 innings. The Nighthawks bats were again hot early on and posted four runs in the first. Azrael Simpson pitched 3 shutout innings for First Flight.

The 4-1-1 Nighthawks next hosts Ocracoke for a non-conference game on Monday May 24 at 5:00 PM.
