‘Songlines on Site’ 2021-2022 is an audio artwork using historic folk songs inspired by alumni of the School. Phase one of the Songlines project recorded local songs ‘sung’ by alumni descendants and local Currituck children in May-June 2019. Phase two Songlines On Site 2021-2022 will allow these audio recordings to be heard on local air FM 107.1 within a one-mile radius of the School, as an outdoor audio ‘soundscape’ that will illuminate and enhance the interior exhibition displays.
The museum is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am – 3pm.
