Lula Mae Chambers, age 78, of Elizabeth City, NC died Friday, May 28, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Edenton on August 22, 1942 to the late Claude Rogerson and Minnie Parks Rogerson and was the wife of the late Gary Chambers for forty-two years. She was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of South Mills. She was a loving mother and a doting grandmother who treasured her time with family.
She is survived by her son, Mark Chambers; her daughter Lisa Richardson (Marty Staples) all of Elizabeth City; four grandchildren, Trevin Richardson, Devin Richardson, Ryan Costa and Morgan Chambers; a great grandchild, Brandon Richardson; and a sister, Debbie Lewis (Donny). She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sue Smith and Nancy Hopp and two brothers, Claude Rogerson and Tommy Rogerson.
