With the Dare County Board of Education slated to meet on Aug. 5 to discuss plans for re-opening schools next month, the district has just released, on July 29, the results of a survey on mask wearing that was taken by school parents/guardians and school staff.
And the verdict from the more than 1,500 parents and guardians and 375 staff members who responded was remarkably similar – strong support for the idea that parents should choose whether their children wear face coverings in school.
The Dare County Board of Education’s 5 p.m. meeting on Aug. 5 will take place in the gymnasium at First Flight High School. You can also access the live stream via YouTube.
