Dare County eases mask mandate in some facilities

(Dare County)

Dare County has announced that masks are no longer required to be worn by those who are participating in certain indoor physical activities at the Dare County Parks and Recreation Department’s Northern Beach Division, Roanoke Island/Mainland Division and Hatteras Island Division, as well as the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center in Kill Devil Hills and the Dare County Center in Manteo.

This change is in accordance with the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidance regarding masking and strenuous activity.

These activities include pickleball, dance, youth and adult basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, open gym and fitness classes. Masks must continue to be worn while individuals are walking into the building and until they reach the area where their activity will take place, and masks must also be worn upon exiting the building.

For more information, visit www.DareNC.com/Parks or contact your local facility for specific details.

Everyone knows the most dangerous part of any activity is when you are entering and exiting a building

Just in time as the Covid numbers are on the way up. But it seems the numbers aren’t going up fast enough for the “powers that be”.
    And yes…..pure sarcasm.

Wow, has Dare County not noted that Covid numbers are on the way UP, and will probably increase with/after the holiday season?
This is not a time to be easing mask mandates, or any other
mandates, if we want to protect our residents during this
    pandemic.

We shouldn’t ease mask mandates at all we should remove the mandates period.
