Manteo Womens hoopsters continue undefeated season

The Manteo High womens basketball team opened conference play with a home victory against visiting Currituck on Jan. 4.  Manteo was led by a trio of juniors, Brianna Fordham, Kyla Mallory, and Erika Bailey.  Brianna led the team with 18 points, followed by Kyla with 16, and Erika with 12.  They combined to score 46 of the team’s total of 56 points.

On Jan. 5, the Manteo womens basketball team won their away conference game against Holmes (Edenton) by a score of 58-51. The girls are now 6-0 on the season. Manteo Basketball will travel to Camden on Friday, JV Boys start at 430pm followed by Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys.
