Manteo keeps rolling, wins 3rdĀ round soccer match

The Manteo High School girls soccer team continue its hot post-season run, defeating Franklin Academy 2-0 in a third-round 2A playoff contest on May 23.

According to a post on the schoolā€™s HS Athletics Facebook page, No. 6 seed Manteo will now host a Thursday, May 26 fourth-round playoff game against No. 10 seed East Carteret. The winner of that contest will advance to a Final Four Regional playoff game on May 31. Thus far this season, Manteo is undefeated at home.
