Two shows will be presented on each date, as follows, at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for children, $6 for adults, and are available at theatreofdareobx.com.

July 6 & 27: Three Goats Gruff Join Martha Graham, Ringo, and Van Goat Gruff as they head to greener pastures to make their artistic dreams come true! Will their dreams of fame and fortune come to fruition? Or will their endeavors be thwarted by a horrible (or maybe not so horrible) troll? Find out in our rollicking adaptation of this classic tale! Colorful characters, audience participation, and a surprise ending that will warm the frostiest of hearts, highlight this one-of-a-kind theatrical adventure!

August 3 & 17: RAPunzel A rapping narrator, an overbearing enchantress, and a damsel who just wants to let her wig…uh…hair down bring our fantastically fractured fairy tale to life! Music, song, and dance collide in this upbeat, yet heartwarming story about growing up… and letting go. Get ready to dance in the aisles with Rapunzel…or RAPunzel.. like you’ve never seen her before!

“We’re so excited to welcome Porkchop Productions into our new home,” says Kelsey Thompson, TOD Business Director. “The community is always looking for fun activities for children, and I’m pleased to be able to invite locals and visitors alike to experience professional, interactive theater.”

Porkchop Productions, a professional theater company, will present the shows, featuring Stacey Maxwell and Abigail Theakston. They have performed extensively for schools, libraries, youth groups and special events throughout the southeast, including Dare Days in Manteo, and are dedicated to expanding artistic horizons by providing a professional, interactive theater experience for young people and promoting a life-long appreciation of the performing arts.
