Linda Roberts Wood, 75, of 218 South Indiantown Road, Shawboro, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, July 18, 2022, at her residence.   She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Mary Ellen Roberts; her sister, Nora Florence Roberts; and brothers, Alvin Norman Roberts, Sr., and Charlie Roberts, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Lowell Sherman Wood of the home; two sons, Robert “Bobby” C. Wood (Lisa) and Brian Wood; seven grandchildren, Gunner, Daniel, William, Garrett, James, Leah, and Caleb; and one great-grandchild, Greyson.

Linda was enjoying her retirement from the US Post Office. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.  She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and had been a member of the Elizabeth City of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 871 Tull’s Creek Road, Moyock, NC, with the Rev. James Harrington officiating.  Burial will be in the Roberts Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the residence.   Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is serving the Wood family.  You may express condolences to the family by visiting www.TwifordFH.com.
