Hometown Med of Moyock and OBX, PLLC launches new medical practice in Moyock

A new medical practice has opened in Moyock to serve the local community and surrounding area.   They will provide preventive, secondary, and tertiary care for adult and pediatric population of Moyock and its surrounding communities. The office will also accommodate a wellness/ aesthetic component to include IV hydration, Botox and dermal fillers.

Carmen M Wynes MSN, NP-C, SA-C is the clinic’s owner and operator. After serving on the boards of CVN 69 and VAW 120 Early Warning Squadrons for 4.5 years, she began her nursing career as a diploma nurse from Medical Careers Institute in 2010.  She received her BSN from Norfolk State University in 2015 and her Masters in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nursing Practice from South University in Virginia Beach in 2017.

Carmen has been a healthcare provided for over 12 years. Obtaining an additional Surgical Assistant certification in 2019.  She currently works at a local trauma center since 2015. She also has over 2 years of experience in Neurosurgical services where she participated in over 100+ neurosurgical cases.

“Over the years I have obtained many skills to prefect my craft as a primary care provider. I feel now is the time to utilize those skills to service an awesome growing community while simultaneously elevating my career as a free-standing NP-C in a community that needs me,” said Carmen.

They are projected to service approximately 30 patients a day Tuesday thru Saturday 9am-5pm.
