MHS wins 3-0 in volleyball, ups record to 4-1

Manteo defeated Edenton Holmes 3-0 in a home match on Aug. 31. The volleyball team moved its overall record to 4-1 and are 1-0 in conference play.  Their next match is home against First Flight on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Kelley Cook leads the team in kills with 30 on the season, Taryn Booth leads in aces with 13, Grace Albarty leads with 23 digs, Bella Alexander leads the team with assists, and Erika Bailey leads with 36 receptions.

Patrick Sinclair is the minister at Mt. Carmel UMC in Manns Harbor

    Great Job for the Braves against Edenton, but no mention of the Barn Burner against First Flight? where they were down 2 sets at home before rallying & winning the next 2 & forcing a 5th where they won by 1 point?? that was the best game of the year so far & no one has mentioned it
