Barbara Y. Hornbrook of Jarvisburg, September 5

Barbara Yeip Hornbrook, age 66, of Jarvisburg, NC died on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her home. Born in Miami, FL on December 5, 1955 to the late Arthur Yeip and Margery Dahlhausen Yeip, she was the beloved wife of James “Jim” Hornbrook. Barbara loved horses, spent years as a trainer and was well known in the Currituck horse community. She was a Real Estate Investor, co-founder of the Albemarle Antique Power Association, and served as secretary for that organization for the first seven years.

In addition to her husband, Jim she is survived by two sisters, Elaine Yeip and Marcia Yeip; and a brother, John Yeip and his wife, Jennifer.

A Gathering of Friends will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Twiford Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Laurel Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Southern Hope Animal Rescue & Education, 146 White Horse Drive #9503, Shawboro, NC 27973.
