Rivals Manteo High and First Flight High ended their Sept. 14 soccer match, played at Manteo, with a 1-1 tie. First Flight scored in the first half and Manteo tied the match with a second half penalty kick.
Neither team managed a goal after two 10-minute overtimes. Manteo has a record of 5 wins with one loss and two draws. First Flight has a record of two wins, a loss and one draw. Manteo next takes the field in an away game at Currituck on Monday, Sept. 19. Game time is at 6:30. First Flight next takes on Camden County in an away contest at 5 p.m. on Sept. 19.
