Cape Hatteras Schools on 3-hour delay Friday

Decision based on “anticipated road conditions.”

The Dare County School District has informed families of students at Cape Hatteras Elementary School and Cape Hatteras Secondary School that those facilities will have a delayed opening on Friday, Sept. 23.

The messages states “due to anticipated road conditions, Cape Hatteras Elementary School and Cape Hatteras Secondary School will operate on a 3-hour delay on Friday, September 23, 2022.”
