The Outer Banks Hotline Board of Directors announces its new Associate Director, Stephanie Baker. Ms. Baker’s hiring comes as the agency implements a plan of strategic growth in grant programs, development and outreach.
Outer Banks Hotline Board of Directors Chairperson, Judy Burnette provided comment on behalf of the agency. “Stephanie brings experience, enthusiasm and great communication skills to our agency. We are excited to welcome her to the staff and look forward to her teamwork in this time of growth at Outer Banks Hotline,” said Ms. Burnette.
“It is truly an honor and privilege to have been selected as the successful candidate for Associate Director at Outer Banks Hotline. I am deeply connected to the mission; and, after having lived here for 16 years, am also deeply connected to the people in this community and the issues we face in this county,” said Ms. Baker.
Since moving to the Outer Banks in 2007, Ms. Baker has been professionally involved with several nonprofits both locally and nationally: Community Director and Development Specialist for NENC for The March of Dimes, Executive Director for the Mustang Outreach Program and Partner Liaison and Copywriter for Hope Floats Foundation. She serves concurrently as the E.D. for Endless Hope Private Foundation, a small private foundation located in Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Baker has also served on the board of Outer Banks Mommy & Me and The All-Saints School; and is currently a board member of Interfaith Community Outreach. Additionally, she has been involved with the Parenting Enrichment Program with Dare County Children and Youth Partnership, and the Elizabethan Gardens; and has served on the vestry of All Saints Episcopal Church.
“In my position with Hotline, I hope to be able to help bring fresh ideas, analytical thought and support for positive change. Additionally, I will provide open and good communication in an effort to create a greater awareness of our programs and work to help move the organization forward,” said Ms. Baker.
Outer Banks Hotline is a 501c.3 nonprofit who offers emergency shelter and support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Additionally, Outer Banks Hotline provides community outreach to highlight prevention and awareness. OB Hotline is located at 100 East Dunn Street in Nags Head.
