First Fight men’s basketball season ends with hard-fought loss to E.E. Smith

The First Flight High School men’s basketball team’s post-season run ended on Feb. 25 when it dropped a road game to E.E. Smith of Fayetteville by a 63-50 tally. The game was close until E.E. Smith iced it with a strong fourth quarter. For the season, First Flight went 18-10 overall and 12-3 in the conference.

After the game, First Flight Athletic Director and head basketball coach Chad Williams tweeted: “Didn’t get it done today against an incredibly talented EE Smith team. But we fought like crazy. Couldn’t be more proud of this group for the season we put together. Thanks you to my seniors—thank you to all of the Nighthawk fans for their support. We will be back.”
